The participants of the SEEN network offer a wide variety of geotechnical engineering services within their projects. The participants have specific expertise in various working fields, since the geotechnical challenges can be different and very specific, depending on their location. A wide range of geotechnical expertise has been gained in the projects performed worldwide.

Within the SEEN network, some partners for instance have extensive expertise in rock engineering and interpretation of soil investigation on firm clays, whereas other partners have specific experience in soft soil engineering, arctic conditions and earthquake analyses. Together, the geotechnical expertise of SEEN includes all types of foundation techniques, embankments, dikes, sea defences, underground constructions, deep foundations, bored tunnels situated under building foundations, grouting techniques, arctic engineering, earthquake analyses and geotechnical FEM modelling, land reclamation, geotechnical parameter interpretations, surveying and monitoring. The Geotechnical Engineering Expertise Group combines more than 100 geotechnical specialists and focuses on the exchange of experience and gain state of the art knowledge.
