The Expertise Group for Renewable Energy called 'SEENergy' was established in 2014. Just like most of the other expertise groups, the main focus is the exchange of expertise in all fields of renewable energy production, energy transport, storage and saving. Each of the partners has specific fields of expertise from which the other SEENergy partners can benefit. The expertise group meets (bi)annually and in between these meetings workshops and video conferences on specific topics are organized to share knowledge on the renewable energy topics.

Moreover, the cluster aims to work on projects together with the SEENergy partners in the field of especially district heating and wind energy (off shore / on shore). Together the SEENergy partners can cover all project phases from Master Planning, Feasibility Analysis, Project Development, Design, Contracting and Supervision during construction and start up of projects. Cooperation is in the DNA of the SEENergy partners. Not only cooperating together but we also enjoy working together with clients and other stakeholders and partners.

For these projects we operate using the SEENergy trademark to show the added value (synergy) from our cooperation towards our clients. An example of this SEENergy cooperation is the Due Diligence project executed by a team of Niras and Witteveen+Bos specialists for the assessment of the value of the assets of the former Essent District Heating (part of RWE) networks in The Netherlands.
